Josh Anderson scored his first goal with Swift Current in a match and 4-0 win against his old team Prince George. He has four points since the move and 11 overall, equalizing his total from last season. It is safe to say the move is providing Anderson more offensive opportunities and are just a high scoring team in general.

Shane Bowers added a goal and assist in his first of two matches against UMass, more on that later. He now has 13 goals and 22 points total, which is a great freshman season for him.

Injured Defensemen News:
Cale Makar was thankfully back in the lineup over the weekend. He chipped in an assist in consecutive nights however UMass would fall in both contests. Makar looked good in his return but his team does not however look to be making much progress and now sit last in Hockey East after dropping their last six games. There are six games remaining before the conference tournament and the end of Makar’s collegiate season, let’s hope the Avalanche have a plan for him beyond that.
Sergei Boikov is not expected to play at all this season, thanks to an update from the wonderful French media. This comes as no great shock but since he has been rehabbing in San Antonio for a while, it was still a wonder if he’d suit up at this year. A shame Boikov lost an entire year of development but there was no room on the roster in San Antonio for him anyway.
Conor Timmins continues to remain sidelined with a lower body injury. There’s no timetable for his return but the 43-5-3 Greyhounds have nothing to play for until late March.
